What is a credit union?We are a not-for-profit cooperative financial institution that is owned and controlled by all of the people who use our services (called 'members'). We exist to provide a safe, convenient place for members to save money and to get loans, debit and credit cards at reasonable rates. Like all cooperatives, we are based on the concept of "people helping people." But unlike financial institutions that are operated for a profit, all income that our credit union generates from its operation is distributed as dividends or used to keep loan rates and fees as low as possible for our members.
